SECNAP(R) Network Security Corporation today announced a strategic distribution agreement with Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD). Tech Data will offer SECNAP's flagship product, the Email Security Gateway Powered by SpammerTrap(R), to its nationwide network of IT reseller customers.
According to Jim Garrity, vice president of sales and marketing for SECNAP, the partnership with Tech Data is a key component of the company's channel expansion strategy. "We see tremendous potential for VARs to drive sales growth for the SpammerTrap email security solution in 2009," said Garrity, "and we're pleased that the market experts at Tech Data share that vision."
Dawn Stratton, distribution director for SECNAP, will manage the account and work with Tech Data staff to coordinate sales and marketing initiatives. Stratton has more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry, including a long-standing relationship with Tech Data. An aggressive promotion for the first quarter has been launched to showcase the product line.
"Spam-borne malware and cybercrime continue to increase," said John O'Shea, Tech Data vice president of Networking Product Marketing. "It's important that resellers have access to advanced, comprehensive security solutions like the SpammerTrap so they can protect their customers from a broad range of email threats."
