Sparxent Completes NetworkD Corporation

Sparxent, a newly formed IT and business solution provider focused on the middle market, today announced it completed the acquisition of NetworkD Corporation, a value-added reseller based in Newport Beach, Calif., with offices in North America and Europe. Exact financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"NetworkD is a strategic acquisition for Sparxent. It has an excellent reputation, a strong customer base and it will become the platform for future growth," said Steve DeWindt, co-founder of Sparxent. "This is our first step in creating a new business model for providing software, hardware and IT consulting services to mid-market companies."

Established in 1996, NetworkD has a base of more than 6,000 customers throughout the U.S. and Europe. The NetworkD Group of companies includes NetworkD Corporation, NetworkD Europe Ltd., NetworkD Europe GmbH and NetworkD Europe SAS.

"Joining with Sparxent gives us access to new markets and additional resources as well as a laser focus on delivering enterprise-class IT services to mid-sized customers," said Ashley Leonard, CEO of NetworkD. "We are excited to become a Sparxent company and expand the breadth and depth of services we can offer to customers."

With this acquisition, NetworkD will retain its identity and continue to execute its core business strategy. Becoming a Sparxent company will allow NetworkD to increase its geographic and financial reach, accelerate growth and tap into additional resources worldwide.

NetworkD is recognized internationally for expertise in helping companies reduce IT operational costs and increase efficiency of support staff by utilizing systems management and service desk solutions. NetworkD is a Platinum LANDesk Software Solution Provider and the largest global reseller of LANDesk solutions.

Sparxent is focused on the marriage of consulting, solutions, integration, development and services into a single source for IT. By acquiring local IT providers like NetworkD and bringing them together under a single umbrella, Sparxent will act as a single source for IT for medium-sized companies.
