BOSaNOVA and Leostream(TM) Corporaton (www.leostream.com), a developer of virtual hosted desktop software, today announced a partnership that will provide Leostream Connection Broker software on BOSaNOVA Thin Clients. The solution will enable enterprises using BOSaNOVA Thin Clients to take advantage of the flexibility, scalability and enterprise class policies the Connection Broker brings to virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) initiatives. In combination with the advantages offered by BOSaNOVA Thin Clients - longer life-span, smaller form-factor, overall cost-savings - the joint solution delivers on the promise of fully-featured, enterprise-class VDI.
BOSaNOVA VDI-Ready Thin Clients include the Leostream Connection Broker on BOSaNOVA's XPe and Linux Thin Clients. The Leostream Connection Broker enables enterprises using BOSaNOVA units to integrate physical and virtual desktops, blades and Terminal Server sessions. In addition, the Connection Broker integrates whatever systems are required by the VDI: multiple authentication servers (Active Directory, eDirectory, OpenLDAP), external SSL VPNs and multi-factor authentication. The Connection Broker provides advanced policies, including location-based policies and global user redirection, enabling enterprises to implement business rules exactly while providing an excellent end-user experience. Together, BOSaNOVA Thin Clients and the Leostream Connection Broker "make desktop virtualization work."
